If you plan to grab a bite, try the local eateries, but skip the overpriced ones near the entrance. I found a quaint tavern just a bit further in that had fantastic, reasonably priced meals.

I recommend checking out the artisan shops. You might find unique gifts and souvenirs that aren't in the tourist traps. I found some handmade jewelry that was a hit back home.

I suggest visiting the Medieval Village during the weekdays, especially on Wednesday or Thursday. It's way less crowded and you can really soak in the ambiance without fighting for space.
