Ponte Vecchio

Don’t just focus on the bridge. Walk around the area to discover lovely cafes and hidden streets. I stumbled upon a great gelato place just a few minutes away.

Take a few moments to sit on the nearby steps by the river to soak in the view. It’s a beautiful spot to relax; I missed this the first time around!

Consider visiting early in the morning, around 8 AM, to avoid the massive crowds. I found it peaceful and got some great photos without too many people around.

Bring a good camera or your phone with a decent lens. The light at sunset is incredible, and the views are stunning for photos. I wish I had taken more!
Michelangelo Square
Signoria Square
Basilica of Santa Croce

Don't skip the shop! I found some unique souvenirs that were way cheaper than the ones in the main touristy areas. Take a few moments to browse around.

Get there as early as 9 AM to beat the crowds. I arrived around that time and had a much more peaceful experience exploring the stunning architecture.

If you're a fan of history, I suggest downloading an audio guide beforehand. I didn't, and I felt like I missed out on some cool stories about the place!
Santa Maria Novella
Piazza della Repubblica

Bring a snack or two to avoid overpriced food stands. I learned this during my visit when I was starving and grabbed a sandwich that cost way too much! Pack some goodies instead to save $$
San Lorenzo
Santa Trinita

Bring a small umbrella or a light jacket, just in case! I got caught in a sudden rain shower while visiting, and it dampened the experience a bit. Better safe than soggy!

I suggest checking out the nearby shops for authentic Tuscan products. They offer some nice trinkets at much better prices compared to the tourist traps closer to the square.

Take your time to admire the details on the facade. I was rushing at first but found the intricate carvings and statues are seriously impressive. Just slow down and enjoy it!

If you can, try to visit during the early morning, around 8 AM. The light is beautiful for photos and there are fewer people around, making it easier to soak everything in. Trust me, it's worth it.
Baptistery of San Giovanni
Palazzo Medici

Grab a coffee or snack in one of the nearby cafes after your visit. I found a lovely spot just a few minutes away that had great local pastries

I recommend booking your tickets online in advance to skip the long lines. I didn't do this and wasted a good chunk of time waiting.
