Pashupatinath

If you can, avoid weekends and major holidays. The crowds can be overwhelming, and you won’t get to enjoy the site's beauty to the fullest.

Dress modestly, especially if you plan to go into the temples. I saw some tourists in inappropriate attire and it didn’t seem respectful.

Try to visit early in the morning, like around 6 AM. The atmosphere is peaceful and the light is perfect for photos without the crowds getting in your way.

Don't miss the evening Aarti ceremony if you can stick around. It was a breathtaking experience and totally worth the wait
Durbar Square

Watch out for local festivals or events; they can really enhance your experience. Check ahead to see if something special is happening when you're there.
Svoyambu Stupa
Bodnath

Try some local Tibetan food at one of the small restaurants near the stupa. I found a hidden gem with dumplings that were to die for and much cheaper than the more touristy spots.

Make sure to wander around the stupa and soak in the ambiance early in the morning, like around 7 AM. It's way less crowded and you can enjoy the peaceful vibes.

Check out the monasteries around the stupa. Some have stunning architecture and fewer tourists, offering a more personal experience. Don't miss the one with the manicured gardens!

Bring some cash as many small shops and stalls only take Nepali Rupees. I learned this the hard way when I found a beautiful scarf but had no cash on me!
