I suggest checking the weather a few days ahead. Wind can change plans! The skies were pretty cloudy on my first try, but I rescheduled and got the best views on a clear day.
Pro tip: wear layered clothing. It’s chilly at higher altitudes, but you’ll warm up once you’re in the air. I was freezing at first but ended up fine once we started flying.
NAC Helicopters
If you're a photography buff, request a seat by the window—it's an incredible vantage point for capturing the stunning views of Cape Town. Trust me, you won't regret it!
Skydive Cape Town
consider going on a weekday, it's less crowded and you might snag a better rate. i went on a tuesday and lucked out!
Bring a camera or GoPro for the jump – the views are insane! But double-check their policy on cameras before you go.
Make sure to wear comfortable clothes, like leggings and a fitted top. Those jumpsuits can be a bit bulky, and you want to feel good while soaring!
Book your jump in advance. I waited too long and almost missed out, since they can fill up fast on weekends.
Mother City SkyDiving
Check out their photos and video packages before you go. I ended up spending more than I planned because I didn't realize how pricey the extras would be. Budget for it!
I highly recommend booking your jump in advance, especially on weekends. I didn’t, and had to wait around longer than I wanted to, which cut into my beach time!
My advice is to get to the drop zone by 9 am. It’s calmer then plus you’ll get the best views of Table Mountain without the cloud cover ruining the experience!
Lion's Head Paragliding Site
My advice is to bring some cash for the launch site and any extra costs—like photos or drinks after. It saves time fumbling for cards.
