Definitely check the surf conditions before you go; it's best between 10 AM to 2 PM when the waves are just perfect! I missed out on some rad surfing because I didn’t check first.

I recommend packing a picnic instead of buying food at the beach. The beach bars can be pricey, but the nearby supermarket has some great stuff for a beach lunch!

My advice is to rent a surfboard early in the day... The shops get busy, and I ended up waiting way too long just to grab one
