I think you should check out the nearby Castle of St... Peter too... It’s not far and gives a cool contrast to the mausoleum... Plus, combo tickets can save you a few bucks!

I suggest getting there right when it opens at 8 AM. The light and fewer crowds make for great photos and a calm experience. Trust me, it's worth it.

I think it's a good idea to wear comfy shoes because the paths are uneven. I wish I had known that before - my feet were killing me by the end of the day.
