Alanya Fortress

Check out the views from different spots of the fortress before leaving. I almost missed the viewpoint to the east that was super stunning!

if you're on a budget, skip the restaurants near the fortress. head down to town instead for some yummy and cheap local eats - way better!

Bring water and some snacks with you. There's not much around the fortress, and you’ll want to stay hydrated while exploring those steep paths.

Don’t forget your camera for the sunset! I thought I’d missed it, but I was lucky enough to catch it just in time – sooo worth it!
Kyzyl Kule
Old Shipyard

Make sure to check out the local eateries nearby. You can enjoy some delicious Turkish snacks without breaking the bank. I found a spot that had great gözleme for just a few lira!
Suleymaniye Mosque

I recommend carrying some small change to tip the local guides or for buying snacks nearby. It’s a great way to support the community, and I wish I had done that instead of just using cards everywhere
Alanya Archaeological Museum

I suggest visiting on a weekday, like Tuesday or Wednesday, to avoid the weekend crowds. It was way more enjoyable when I could take my time looking at the exhibits without feeling rushed.
Ataturk House Museum

i recommend visiting right when it opens at 9 am to avoid the crowds... i went later in the day and had to wait in line, plus it was a bit more hectic inside
Alaiye 1 Boat Tour
I recommend checking the weather the day before your trip. We went on a cloudy day and missed out on some epic views. If you can, aim for a sunny day for the best experience

I suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks on the boat to save some cash, as the prices on board can be a bit steep. Plus, it’s nice to have your favorites while soaking up the sun!
