Downtown Aquarium
Grab a combo ticket for the aquarium and the restaurant. It’s a bit cheaper than buying them separately, and you won't have to rush between the two!
I think you should definitely save time for the underwater tunnel. It's a unique view, but it can get busy. Try to hit it early in your visit to enjoy it more!
I suggest visiting on a weekday to avoid the weekend crowds. It was way more enjoyable without the hustle and bustle. Trust me, you'll appreciate the quieter atmosphere!
Denver Botanic Gardens
Watch your footing on the pathways; some can be a bit uneven. I tripped a couple of times just not looking where I was going!
I recommend getting a membership if you're local or will be back a few times. It pays for itself quickly and gives you discounts at the cafe and shop
Denver Zoo
Pack a picnic! The zoo has some awesome spots to eat outside, and it saves you money instead of buying food at the cafe.
Wear comfy shoes because you’ll be doing a lot of walking. I regretted my choice of footwear halfway through the day!
Park Washington
My advice is to visit early in the morning, like around 8 AM. It's way less crowded then and you can get some nice photos without too many people in the background.
Watch out for parking! I ended up driving around for a bit. If you can, consider public transport or rideshare to save time and hassle.
Civic Center Park
I recommend bringing a picnic! There are nice spots to sit and enjoy your food, plus it's way cheaper than eating at nearby restaurants.
I think it's worth checking out the art installations throughout the park. I missed a few because I didn’t realize they were there until I left. Take some time to explore the whole area!
Sloan's Lake Park
Plan to stick around for sunset. The views of the mountains are stunning as the sun goes down; it’s the perfect way to end the day.
Confluence Park
Arrive around 10 AM to avoid the crowds and snag a good parking spot. It fills up quickly, especially on weekends.
Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms
Ruby Hill Rail Yard
My advice is to bring your own snacks or have a picnic! There’s not much in the way of food options around, so save some cash and pack a lunch.
