Nature Places Map
Nature in Denver:
Downtown Aquarium
I suggest visiting on a weekday to avoid the weekend crowds. It was way more enjoyable without the hustle and bustle. Trust me, you'll appreciate the quieter atmosphere!
Denver Botanic Gardens
I recommend getting a membership if you're local or will be back a few times. It pays for itself quickly and gives you discounts at the cafe and shop
Denver Zoo
Wear comfy shoes because you’ll be doing a lot of walking. I regretted my choice of footwear halfway through the day!
Park Washington
Watch out for parking! I ended up driving around for a bit. If you can, consider public transport or rideshare to save time and hassle.
Civic Center Park
I think it's worth checking out the art installations throughout the park. I missed a few because I didn’t realize they were there until I left. Take some time to explore the whole area!
Sloan's Lake Park
Plan to stick around for sunset. The views of the mountains are stunning as the sun goes down; it’s the perfect way to end the day.
Confluence Park
Arrive around 10 AM to avoid the crowds and snag a good parking spot. It fills up quickly, especially on weekends.
Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms
Ruby Hill Rail Yard
My advice is to bring your own snacks or have a picnic! There’s not much in the way of food options around, so save some cash and pack a lunch.
