Fish Creek Falls
If you’re not up for a long hike, stick to the lower falls area. It’s an easy walk and absolutely stunning without the sweat!

Check the weather before you head out. I went on a sunny day but got caught in a freak rainstorm. Bring a light poncho just in case!

I think the restrooms can get pretty messy, especially on weekends. So maybe keep some wipes on hand for a fresher experience!

I recommend starting your hike by 8 am to snag parking and enjoy the falls without the crowds. By 10, it seemed super busy!
Strawberry Park Hot Springs

My advice is to try going at night if you can. The hot springs are like magic under the stars! Take some snacks and enjoy a lovely evening.

Don’t forget to hydrate! I thought I'd be fine, but the hot water can really sap your energy. Bring a water bottle to keep yourself refreshed.

Check the weather before heading out. I thought it’d be fine, but it started raining and it gets chilly! Bring a light jacket, just in case.

If you can, visit during weekdays, especially around 3 PM. The crowds are way lighter and you can really enjoy the peace and quiet.
Yampa River Botanic Park

Check out the events calendar before you go. I stumbled upon a free concert while there, and it added such a fun vibe to my visit. You never know what you might find!

i suggest visiting in the morning around 9 am when it's cooler and the flowers are at their best. it was peaceful and not crowded which made it easier to take photos and enjoy the scenery.
Old Town Hot Springs

i think bringing your own snacks and drinks is a great way to save some cash. their food prices can be a bit high, and there's plenty of space to enjoy a picnic outside the pools

My advice is to check for discount tickets online before you go. I saved a few bucks that way and it makes the whole experience feel more budget-friendly.

I suggest getting there around 9 AM when they open. It's way less crowded and you can snag a good spot by the pools before everyone else shows up. Trust me, it makes a huge difference.
Little Toots Park

I suggest bringing some snacks and drinks, especially if you're with kids. There are picnic tables around, and grabbing a quick bite while enjoying the view is nice. It really saved us time instead of looking for a cafe nearby

I recommend checking out the playground area first thing in the morning around 10 AM. It gets crowded later, and my kids had so much fun with fewer people around. Trust me, it’s worth it!
