Active Leisure & Sport in Philadelphia:
Rolling Thunder Skating Center
I think the snack bar prices are a bit steep, so consider grabbing a bite to eat before you arrive. I learned the hard way that a small soda and snack can cost you an arm and a leg!
Wells Fargo Center
Buffalo Billiards
I suggest checking out the happy hour specials, they’re usually from 5-7 PM, and it’s a great way to save some cash on drinks and apps. I had a couple of nachos, and they were delicious and affordable.
My advice is to get there a bit early, like around 6 PM, if you want to snag a billiards table without a long wait. The later it gets, the busier it gets!
Citizens Bank Park
Philadelphia Penitentiary
Bring a fully charged phone or camera! The place is super photogenic and I wished I had captured more moments but my battery died too soon.
Check the weather! I assumed it would be mild but ended up caught in a storm. Plan ahead and dress for the weather to enjoy your visit fully.
FDR Skatepark
I think it's a good idea to check out the local food trucks nearby before you skate. They’re super convenient and way cheaper than restaurants in the city. My food was delicious and kept me fueled for skating!
My advice is to hit the park around 5 PM... It gets crowded later, and you'll have more space to skate and show off your skills before all the pros show up
Legoland Discovery Center Philadelphia
My advice is to get there right when they open around 10 AM. It gets super crowded by noon, and you’ll have way more fun with shorter lines!
I suggest checking for online discounts before you go. I saved a few bucks by booking my tickets on their site instead of buying them at the door
