Music, Dance, Cinema in Philadelphia:
The Fillmore Philadelphia
I recommend checking their website for any local discount codes for tickets. I found one that saved me a few bucks, and it made the night even better!
The Kimmel Center
If you plan to catch a performance, get your tickets in advance. I waited and ended up missing out on a sold-out show that everyone raved about!
I think arriving around 30 mins before a show starts is perfect. You get a good seat selection and some time to soak in the atmosphere!
Union Transfer
I think the bar prices aren't too bad, but you might want to grab some drinks before the show to save a few bucks—water is free at the venue!
I recommend checking the schedule online first. Some shows can sell out quick, and you'd wanna grab your tickets before they vanish!
I had a great time, but the acoustics can be hit or miss depending on the band. I suggest checking if the artists are known for their live sound first.
Franklin Music Hall
I found the acoustics really good, but I suggest avoiding the back rows if you can. The sound is way better up closer to the stage.
My advice is to bring cash for merch! Some vendors only accept cash, and you don't want to miss out on that cool band tee.
Theatre of The Living Arts
World Cafe Live Philadelphia
Grab dinner at the café before the show. The food was way better than I expected and saved me a trip elsewhere. Plus, it’s nice to chill with some good grub before the music!
Franky Bradley's
If you're going on a weekend, get there around 9 PM. The line gets pretty long after that, and we ended up waiting way longer than expected
Johnny Brenda's
The Trestle Inn
My advice is to check out their events calendar beforehand. They often have themed nights or live music that can really enhance the experience.
I recommend chatting with the bartenders; they’re super friendly and can give you great suggestions for drinks you might not find on the menu
