Parks in Philadelphia:
Independence National Historical Park
Love Park
Dilworth Park
The fountains are super fun, especially in summer, but they can get crowded. My advice is to visit on a weekday to dodge the rush and really enjoy the vibe.
Park Spruce Street Harbor
If you want to save on parking, look for spots a little further away and walk. I found some free street parking just a few blocks away and it was a nice stroll along the river.
Wissahickon Valley Park
I recommend bringing your own snacks and water because the park doesn’t have many food options, and you’ll want to refuel for all that exploring!
I suggest getting there as early as 8 AM to enjoy the quiet peacefulness before the crowds show up. It’s totally worth it for those stunning morning views!
I suggest checking out the Visitor Center first for any last-minute info or tips from the staff – they’re super helpful and can guide you to the best spots
If you’re planning to take photos, head over to the Wissahickon Creek along Forbidden Drive around sunset. The lighting is gorgeous and you’ll get some great shots!
