Culture in Charleston:
Historic Charleston City Market
If you're looking to save some cash, consider hitting the market on a rainy day. It seemed like some of the vendors had special deals to lure in visitors during the drizzle.
Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum
Check the weather before you go! It got super hot in the afternoon when I was there so I wish I had brought a water bottle and sunscreen with me.
Fort Sumter
The Battery
Rainbow Row
Middleton Place
Bring a picnic! The grounds are beautiful, and we found a lovely shady spot by the creek. It saved us money and was a great way to recharge.
Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge
I suggest visiting in the early morning, around 7 AM, to beat the crowds and catch a stunning sunrise. It's totally worth the early wake-up call!
I think it’s cool to walk or bike across the bridge. If you can, rent a bike nearby; it saves a lot of legwork and makes the experience even more fun!
Fort Moltree
Marion Square
I suggest packing a small picnic to enjoy at one of the benches. We saved a ton of cash and had a perfect little lunch break while enjoying the view!
If you’re into photography, early mornings around 7-8 AM are golden hours here; fewer crowds and beautiful light! Trust me, it makes a huge difference for those Insta shots.
