Nature Places Map
Nature in Charleston:
Angel Oak Tree
If you can, visit during the week. I went on Saturday, and the crowds were crazy. Weekdays are way more chill, making for a better visit!
Sullivan's Island Beach
I suggest arriving before 10 AM to snag a good parking spot. I didn’t and spent way too long circling the lots. Trust me, parking is a pain later in the day!
Waterfront Park
I suggest visiting early in the morning around 8 AM if you want to avoid the crowds and enjoy the quiet beauty of the park. Plus, the sunlight is perfect for photos!
Magnolia Plantation and Gardens
My advice is to check the seasonal bloom calendar before you visit. I went expecting magnolias but was too early and missed them. Plan your trip for peak bloom time for the best photos!
I think buying your tickets online in advance can save you a few bucks and help you skip the long lines at the entrance. Those extra minutes really add up when you’re excited to explore!
Folly Beach
James Island County Park
Boone Hall Plantation
I recommend arriving right when they open at 9 AM to avoid the crowds, especially if you want to take nice photos of the gardens without too many people in the background. Trust me, it makes a big difference!
White Point Garden
I recommend visiting early in the morning, around 8 AM, to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere before the crowds roll in. It’s like having the place to yourself for a bit!
South Carolina Aquarium
My advice is to check out the feeding times of the animals before you go. I missed the turtle feeding which I heard was super cool and I was bummed!
