Grand Park of Tirana
Big Park
if you can, visit around 9 am to enjoy the park with fewer crowds... i was surprised at how peaceful it was during that time, and you can snag some great photos!
Make sure to wear comfy shoes; there's more walking than I expected. I almost regretted my stylish but impractical sneakers after wandering around under the sun.
Check out the little lake area and sit by it! It’s super chill and a good spot to relax. I accidentally walked past it at first, so don’t miss it!
Bring your own snacks and drinks instead of buying them there. I spent way too much at the cafe, which wasn't even that great. Save your cash for a nice meal afterward!
Logara National Park
My advice is to pack a refillable water bottle. Prices for drinks at nearby shops are quite high. Staying hydrated is crucial, especially during those longer trails!
You might wanna download offline maps before your visit. The signal can be spotty, and getting lost isn't fun! Trust me, I wandered around a bit more than I'd liked.
I recommend starting your hike early, around 7 AM. You'll beat the heat and the crowds while experiencing the sunrise over the mountains. It's a stunning sight!
Valbona Valley
One thing I wish I knew earlier is to take extra snacks from home. Food prices in the valley can be a bit steep, plus it saves time hunting for places to eat during hikes.
I highly recommend getting to the Valbona Valley by around 9 AM. The morning light on the peaks is just breathtaking! It also helps you avoid the midday crowds trust me you’ll enjoy it way more
