Melbourne Cricket Ground

I recommend getting there at least 1 hour before a game. It gives you time to take a look around, grab a snack, and avoid the rush. Trust me, it gets super crowded!

If you want decent food, skip the fast food stands inside the ground. I suggest walking a bit to nearby eateries. They have way better options and the prices aren’t insane.

Make sure to wear comfortable shoes! The place is huge and I underestimated all the walking I’d be doing. My feet were sore by the end of the day!
Sydney Cricket Ground
Brisbane Cricket Ground

I recommend checking out the local pub scene nearby before the game; it's a great way to soak up the atmosphere and maybe grab a quick bite. I stumbled into a great place just a short walk from the ground.

I suggest wearing comfy shoes; the ground is huge, and you might end up walking more than you expect! I regretted wearing my nice shoes halfway through the day.

My advice is to avoid the pricier food inside. There’s a fantastic pizza joint just outside where I grabbed a slice; much cheaper and tasted way better than the stuff inside!
Optus Stadium

Bring a light jacket or a poncho if you’re going to watch cricket. Even in summer, the weather can change quickly, and you'd want to enjoy the game comfortably.

My advice is to book your ticket online – it’s usually cheaper than at the gate, plus you can pick your seats without the rush.

Check out the local eateries around the stadium for a quick meal before the event. Some places offer discounts with your match ticket, so it’s worth asking!
Adelaide Oval

If you want to save on memorabilia, wait until the end of the game when shops might have sales. I scored a cool shirt at half price!

I recommend grabbing a quick bite at any nearby cafe before you enter – food inside can be pricey and the lines get long. I found some great sandwiches just a 5-minute walk away!
WACA Ground

Make sure to check the weather before you head out. I went on a sunny day but forgot sunscreen and ended up looking like a lobster after the match!

I suggest grabbing your tickets online before you go. Saves you the hassle of long lines trust me! Plus I found some good discounts on the official site.

If you're looking for a quick bite, try the food stalls outside. I got a tasty meat pie for cheap - perfect for a game day snack!
I recommend exploring the museum inside WACA. It's a hidden gem and gives you a great glimpse into cricket history – I almost skipped it, but it was totally worth it.
Marvel Stadium
Manuka Oval

I think you should wear comfy shoes! There's a fair bit of walking around the grounds, plus the seats can be a bit far from the food areas. I regret not bringing my sneakers!

If you're catching a match, try to arrive before 5 PM... The atmosphere is a blast with pre-game activities, and you can grab some snacks without the rush... Trust me, it gets packed!

I suggest you bring cash for the food stalls. Some of them don't take cards and I ended up missing out on some awesome burgers because I didn't have any dough!
Bellerive Oval

Bring a hat and sunscreen, especially in the summer. I learned the hard way sitting in the sun for hours—being prepared makes your day so much better!

If you're into food, grab a bite at the nearby cafes before the game. The food at the Oval can be pricey and queues get long, especially closer to match time.
