Perisher Ski Resort
If you want to try snowmobiling, go with a guide! I went solo and wasted time trying to figure out the routes. Join a group for better access to awesome trails and insider tips on where to go.
I suggest getting there early, like around 7:30 AM. The runs were empty, and I could actually enjoy skiing without dodging too many people. Later in the day, it got a bit hectic.
My advice is to grab a locker for your gear. It saves you the hassle of lugging everything around. I didn’t use one the first day and regretted it when I wanted to hit the bars later.
Make sure to check the weather; it can change fast! I didn’t and ended up caught in a blizzard. Snow goggles or a mask are a must if it gets windy. Trust me, your face will thank you!
Thredbo
My advice is to bring your own food and drinks for the day on the slopes or trails. The prices at on-site cafes can be steep, and packing a lunch can save you a lot!
Consider buying a multi-day pass if you plan on skiing or biking for a few days. It can save you a chunk of change versus single-day lift tickets.
Lake Mountain
Hotham Alpine Resort
For food, I think it’s better to pack your own snacks. The resort options can get kinda pricey and you might end up spendin' more than you planned.
Kosciuszko Express Chairlift
SKI Club of Victoria
Selwyn Snow Resort
Smiggin Holes Ski Resort
I think it's a good idea to try and hit the slopes right at 9 AM. The first hour was way less crowded, and we got to enjoy some fresh powder before things got busy. Later in the day was a bit hectic!
