Don't miss the free ferry ride from Circular Quay to the zoo. It gives you stunning views of the harbor and saves on transport costs.

My advice is to buy your tickets online in advance. It not only saves money but also skips the long ticket lines when you arrive.
Adelaide Zoo
Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

My advice is to wear comfortable shoes! You'll be walking a lot, and some areas are a bit hilly. Trust me, your feet will thank you later!

If you want to get that perfect selfie with a koala, timing is key! Try to visit during feeding times for the best interaction.

I recommend visiting on a weekday, especially around 10 AM, when the crowds are smaller, and the animals are more active. It makes for a relaxing experience!

Bring your own snacks or lunch! The food at the café can be pricey, and the picnic areas are perfect for enjoying a break with a view.
Billabong Sanctuary

Check the schedule for animal encounters in advance. I missed a few because I didn’t realize they had specific times. Don’t make my mistake!

I think the photo ops with animals are a must! Just remember to be patient as they can get busy, but it’s worth the wait for that pic!

I found the cafe a bit pricey, so pack some snacks. You can find plenty of shady spots to eat your lunch and enjoy the atmosphere.

Bring some cash for food and souvenirs! Some places didn’t accept cards when I was there. It’s a bummer to miss out on a cute koala plushie.
Phillip Island Penguin Parade
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

Wear comfortable shoes! There’s a lot of walking, and some paths are hilly. I regretted wearing flip-flops halfway through my visit.

If you want to save some cash, bring your own snacks and drinks. There’s a lovely picnic area and food in the park can be pricey.

i recommend arriving right when it opens at 9 am to beat the crowds and get a better look at the animals. it really makes a difference!
Healesville Sanctuary
Australian Reptile Park

My advice is to pack your own lunch or snacks. The food inside is a bit pricey, and there’s a lovely picnic area where you can chill and eat your own stuff.

I suggest wearing comfortable shoes. You’ll be doing a lot of walking, and trust me, you don’t want to be dealing with sore feet halfway through your visit
Ballarat Wildlife Park

I wish I had brought my own snacks instead of buying at the café. The food was decent but pricy. Pack some sandwiches to save a few bucks!
