Bicentenario Park

My advice is to wear comfy shoes. The paths can be longer than they look, and it’s easy to walk a lot with all the nice views!

I found the best time to visit is around 9 am. The park is so peaceful, and you get to enjoy the fresh air before it gets crowded.

Watch out for the sun, especially in the afternoon! I got sunburned because I thought standing under trees was enough shade. Bring sunscreen for sure!

Definitely pack a snack or a picnic! The food options inside are a bit pricey, and having a nice meal while overlooking the lake is just perfect!
Metropolitan Park

make sure to wear comfy shoes! the park is huge, and there's a ton of walking involved. i learned that the hard way after my feet were killing me by noon

When you're at the top, take a few minutes to just sit and enjoy the scenery. I rushed around taking pics and kinda missed soaking in the moment. Just relax for a bit!

Don't forget to bring water and some snacks! There are spots to chill, and having some snacks can make your visit much more enjoyable, especially if you’re there for several hours

I suggest grabbing food from local vendors instead of the park's cafes. You'll save money, and the street food is surprisingly delicious. Just watch out for spicy stuff if you're not used to it.
Torres del Paine National Park

If you're using public transport from Puerto Natales, book your bus tickets in advance. The buses can fill up quickly, especially during peak season—learned that the hard way!
Pack lunch and snacks instead of relying on park services. Food inside the park is pricey, and having your own keeps you fueled on the go without breaking the bank.

start your hikes early, around 7 am. the trails are less crowded, and you can enjoy the sunrise over the mountains—totally breathtaking! i wish i’d gotten moving sooner.

Take time to explore the visitor center first. It has awesome maps, info on trails, and lot of tips from rangers. I skipped this and missed some cool hidden spots.
Milodon Cave

Don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes! The trails can get a bit slippery and I regretted my choice of sandals. A bit of grip goes a long way.

I recommend arriving at right when the gates open at 9 AM. It was super quiet and we had the cave almost to ourselves for the first hour, which made the experience way more enjoyable.

My advice is to pack a snack and some water. There are lovely picnic spots around the park and you might want to take your time enjoying the view instead of rushing out for a meal.
Radal Siete Thasas National Park

My advice is to wear good hiking shoes. Some trails can be slippery, and I almost took a nasty spill without the right footwear.
I recommend packing some snacks and water. The trails can be longer than you expect, and food options in the park are limited and pricey

If you can, try to visit on a weekday! The crowds on weekends can be overwhelming, and you'll enjoy the peace and quiet way more.

Bring cash! The entry fee is not expensive, but credit cards aren’t accepted at all spots, and you don’t wanna get caught out.
Queulat National Park

I suggest bringing cash; not every place accepts cards, and you don't want to miss out on that delicious empanada right at the trailhead!

If you're planning to hike, I recommend looking for lesser-known trails. You can save time and have a more peaceful experience away from the main crowds.

I think it's a great idea to wear layers since the weather can change super quick. You might be sweating one minute and freezing the next. I was caught off guard!
Keulat National Park

I recommend checking the weather before heading out; it can change pretty fast up there! I got soaked because I underestimated it, and it made the trails slippery. Waterproof gear is a must!
Pack your own food! The park has some spots for lunch, but prices can be steep. I had a picnic by the river that was way more enjoyable than the overpriced sandwiches in the area.

Bring cash! Not all places, including local vendors, accept cards. I ended up scrambling around for an ATM just to grab some snacks. Better safe than sorry!
Plaza de Armas Arturo Prat

I recommend visiting Plaza de Armas in the morning around 9 AM. You'll beat the crowds and have a peaceful time taking photos and enjoying the scenery. Plus, some local shops nearby start opening around that time for a nice breakfast

My advice is to bring a picnic with you. There are some lovely benches and green spaces to chill out. You can enjoy the view while saving money instead of eating at nearby cafes, which can get pricey.
Vicente Perez Rosales National Park

Bring your own snacks and water. The food options inside the park can be pricey and not great. I found a lettuce sandwich that cost me way too much!

If you can, stay overnight at one of the campsites. The night sky is breathtaking, and you’ll save money compared to nearby lodges. Just make sure to reserve in advance!

I recommend starting your day at the park around 8 AM. It gets super crowded later, and you’ll beat the rush, plus the morning light is amazing for photos.

When hiking, look for the lesser-known trails. I stumbled upon a hidden waterfall that wasn’t on the maps, and it was one of my fave moments.
French Valley Viewpoint

I recommend starting your hike by 7 AM to avoid large crowds and to catch the best light for photos. Trust me, the early sunrise is stunning!

I think you should wear layers. The weather can change quick, and when I went it got chilly, but I was glad I had an extra jacket.

My advice is to bring your own lunch and snacks. There’s no food around, and the views make your break unforgettable. I spent too much on snacks at the cafe!
