Rano Kau

My advice is to bring water and snacks – there's not much around. I ended up paying a bit too much for a drink at the visitor center!

I think wearing good walking shoes is a must; the trails can be uneven. I wore flip-flops, and it made things tricky, especially near the crater's edge!
I suggest getting to Rano Kau by around 8 AM to beat the crowds and catch the morning light for photos. It was like having the place to myself, plus the views are stunning at that time.
Osorno
Villarrica

My advice is to bring cash for small shops and eateries. They often don’t accept cards, and you’ll miss out on some delish local snacks if you don’t have it!
Rano Raraku

I think you might want to take a guided tour if you can. It adds a lot of context and I found myself missing out on interesting facts without one!

My advice is to wear comfortable shoes. The terrain can be uneven and I totally wished I had better footwear when I was climbing around the quarry

if you're into photography, i recommend visiting around 5 pm. the lighting is much better for pictures and the crowds are thinned out a bit, which is nice.
Volcan Osorno
Parinacota Volcano
Ojos del Salado

I think the best spot for photos is near the crater lakes, but watch out for the altitude! Take your time, I pushed myself a bit and felt dizzy. Enjoy the scenery!

If you're planning to hike up, start early, like around 6 AM. The weather can change quickly, and it's way cooler in the morning! I regret waiting and got caught in some heat later on.
