iFLY Paris
Don't forget to bring a camera! They allow you to take pics before and after the flight, which was super fun – but I wish I had a friend filming the experience too!
Absolute Chamonix - Parapente
I recommend bringing your own snacks and water for the trip... The ones available on-site were pretty pricey, and I wish I had saved some cash
If you're going to take pictures, I’d suggest going for the morning flights. The light is amazing, and you get clearer views without the haze that comes later.
Make sure to dress in layers! It can get really chilly up there, even in summer. I learned that the hard way when I was freezing my butt off!
Aerocom Montgolfiere
i recommend booking your flight early in the morning, like around 7 am. the sunrise views are absolutely stunning and the winds are calmer, making for a smoother ride.
Definitely wear layers! It can be chilly during the early hours, but once you're up in the balloon, it warms up quickly. You want to be comfortable for the whole experience.
Take a few snacks and water with you. They offer refreshments after the flight, but if you have a bit to nibble on while waiting, it makes the experience more enjoyable.
Chamonix Paragliding
i recommend taking the early morning flights around 8 am; the winds are calmer, and the views of the alps at sunrise are breathtaking!
Bring a small backpack with water and a snack. After the flight, you’ll get pretty hungry, and there aren’t many shops around right after landing.
I suggest booking your paragliding session a day in advance to avoid the last-minute rush. It really helped me snag a spot during the busy season!
Air Sports Tandem Flights
Don’t forget to bring your own GoPro or ask about photo packages if you want to capture the moments! I didn’t think to do this and missed some great shots in the air.
I suggest booking your tandem flight in advance. Last minute spots fill up fast, especially during weekends. I almost missed out because I didn't plan ahead!
Make sure to dress in layers! It was sunny at the base but pretty chilly up in the air. I ended up wearing an extra jacket that I was glad I brought along.
Rock Drop - Ecole De Base Jump
Bring a good camera or a GoPro! You’ll want to capture the view from the jump, but my phone was a bit shaky. They also offer great photo packages, so check that out!
i suggest booking your jump in advance, especially during peak seasons. i thought i could get a last-minute spot, but it was super busy and i ended up waiting longer than expected.
Ecole de Parapente des Portes du Soleil
Touraine Ballon
I recommend wearing layers. It can be chilly in the morning up in the air, but you may want to shed a layer as the sun rises. Comfort is key when you’re floating over those stunning vineyards.
My advice is to check for package deals. Some companies offer discounts when you book a balloon ride along with a vineyard tour. It’s a great way to save some euros while enjoying the local wine!
I suggest booking your hot air balloon ride for sunrise. The views are breathtaking, and it's less windy, making for a smoother ride. Plus, you start your day on a high note!
Avialpes
Make sure to dress in layers! The temperature can fluctuate quite a bit up there; I ended up freezing in my short sleeves. Not fun!
