Lapangan Pancasila
Bohorsky Botanical Garden

I thought it’d take a few hours max, but I spent almost a whole day there! Plan for at least 4-5 hours to really enjoy everything and not feel rushed.

I suggest getting there right when the gates open at 8 AM. It was super quiet, and I got some amazing photos without all the crowds. Trust me, it's worth it!

Make sure to wear comfy shoes! The gardens are huge, and I regret not bringing better walking shoes. You’ll do a lot of exploring and walking.

If you can, pack your own snacks and drinks. The food inside is kinda pricey and not the best. A picnic in the gardens is way more enjoyable!
Volcano Bromo

Bring some cash for entrance fees and snacks – some places don’t take cards, and trust me, you don't want to miss out on trying local food.

If you can, rent a scooter to explore the area. It’ll save you money and give you the freedom to check out hidden spots without depending on tours.

I recommend getting to the viewpoint around 3 AM to catch that stunning sunrise... It’s worth the early wake-up call!
Goa Cemara Beach

I recommend using a ride-sharing app to get there. Taxis can be overpriced and confusing, but with an app, you get a fair fare and are on your way!

Be mindful of the tides! I didn't pay attention and ended up getting my shoes soaked. It’s better to check beforehand so you don’t have wet feet all day.

I suggest visiting Goa Cemara Beach in the morning, around 7 AM. The sunrise is breathtaking and there are fewer crowds, so it's perfect for some quiet time.

If you’re into photography, golden hour around 5 PM is magical! I got some stunning shots, just be ready to share the space with other photographers.
Tegalalang Rice Terraces
I think the swing is overrated. It’s packed with tourists, and the wait can be long. You can get great photos just walking around the terraces instead.

Don't rush through the zip line experience! I thought it was a quick thrill, but take your time to enjoy the views while you're flying over the terraces!
Bring cash, like I didn't! A lot of small warungs and shops only take cash, and the ATMs can be a bit scarce.

I suggest arriving early, around 7 AM, for fewer crowds and better photo ops. The golden light on the rice terraces is just stunning!
Garuda-Vishnu-Kenchan

If you want to save some cash, bring your own water and snacks. The park has some food stalls, but they can be pricey and the options are limited.

I think it’s worth investing in a good camera or your phone’s camera if you want to capture this beautiful place. You’ll want to remember every detail!
I suggest visiting early in the morning, around 8 AM, to beat the crowds and enjoy the cool weather while exploring the park. It’s way more peaceful and you can get great photos without tons of people in the background.
Don't miss the sunset! I recommend hanging around until around 6 PM for some stunning views. The lighting is magical and it makes for great pictures.
Tegenungan Waterfall

If you’re looking for a quick escape from the crowds, head to the upper viewing platform. It's a bit of a climb, but way less busy, and the view is breathtaking. Totally worth the effort!

Wear your swimsuit! I didn't expect to swim, but it was so refreshing after the hike. The water is a bit chilly, but a quick dip is worth it on a warm day.
Toba
Tangkubanparahu
Batu Bolong Beach

My advice is to bring your own towel and snacks. Beachside cafes can be a bit pricey, and you might save a good amount if you pack a little picnic.

I recommend checking out the beach at sunset around 5:30 PM. The views are stunning and you can grab a drink at a beach club while watching the sky change colors.

If you're planning to surf, I suggest renting a board from a local shop instead of the beach vendors. It's usually cheaper and the boards are in better condition!

Be prepared for the sand to get hot around noon! I wish I had brought flip flops instead of walking barefoot, it was a bit uncomfortable.
