The Hashemite Plaza

I suggest visiting in the early morning around 8 AM to avoid the crowd and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Trust me, the morning light on the plaza is stunning!

My advice is to check out the free events that happen regularly at the plaza. I stumbled upon a local music performance – it was a highlight of my trip!

If you're into photography like I am, try to capture the plaza at dusk. I think the sunset adds a magical vibe to the whole place, and fewer tourists are around then.

I suggest wearing comfy shoes since you might end up walking more than you plan. I learned the hard way, and my feet regretted it!
Wadi Mujib Reserve

If you're on a budget consider bringing your own snacks and water. The prices at the visitor center can be a bit steep. I snacked on some trail mix and it kept my energy up without breaking the bank.

Don’t forget to wear water shoes, or at least something comfortable that can get wet. I wore my regular sneakers and they took ages to dry, making the hike less fun. Plus, water shoes are just better for grip.

Give yourself plenty of time to explore! Aim to start by 8 AM, especially if you're planning to do the Ibex Trail. I barely finished my trek because I didn’t account for how stunning the views are - took way more photos than I thought!

Dead Sea Beach

I suggest bringing your own water shoes for the Dead Sea. The salt can be rough on your feet, and it saved me from some discomfort. Plus, you’ll have some extra grip when walking around.

My advice is to check out the public beach options instead of pricey resorts. I found a great spot that was super affordable and the experience was just as good with access to the same iconic mud!
