Central Sports District

I think it's a good idea to explore a bit beyond the main playground areas. There's a cool little park nearby that's great for a quiet break and some lovely photos!

I recommend checking out the playgrounds on weekdays instead of weekends; it gets super busy on those days. We went on a Thursday morning and it was way more relaxed!
I suggest wearing comfortable shoes if you're planning to walk around a lot. The area is bigger than it looks and my feet were killing me by the end of the day!
City Centre Sports Block Playground

I think checking out the nearby park for a stroll after the playground is a must. It’s beautiful, and we stumbled upon a small pop-up market there – such a nice surprise!

I suggest wearing comfy shoes – you'll be running around with the kids more than you expect! I nearly regretted my fancy sneakers after chasing my little one.

I recommend visiting late afternoon, around 4 PM, when the sun is lower and it's not too crowded yet. I had way more space to enjoy the swings and slides!
Playground

I suggest arriving right when it opens at 10 AM to avoid the crowds and snag the best spots. We went in the late afternoon and it was a bit too packed for our liking.

My advice is to buy your tickets online if possible. I dropped a few extra bucks since we got them on-site, and the line was crazy long!

I recommend checking out the food options before you get too settled in. They have some cool snacks, but we missed out on the hot chocolate because we didn't explore first!
Spelu Laukums

My advice is to bring some snacks and drinks. There are no shops right next to the playground, and it can get expensive if you’re buying from nearby cafes. Plus, the kids will appreciate some quick munchies while playing!

I suggest visiting Spelu Laukums on a weekday around 10 AM. It was a lot less crowded then, and the kids could enjoy the playground without being rushed. The vibes are super chill!
