Consider renting a 4x4 vehicle if you'll explore beyond the typical tourist spots. Makes for a smoother ride on those rough paths and opens up more sights!
If you're planning to climb Dune 45, go around 5 AM to catch the sunrise. Trust me, the views are breathtaking, and it's much cooler!

Pack a good pair of binoculars! You’ll find wildlife unexpectedly in the desert – perfect for bird-watching at sunrise around 6 AM when they're most active.

Bring a refillable water bottle and lots of snacks. Water sources are scarce and food prices in remote areas can be steep, so be prepared!

I think booking in advance is the way to go. We missed out on a couple of popular tours because we tried to walk in – total bummer! Just check online and secure your spot ahead.

My advice is to wear comfortable shoes. The terrain can be tricky and I regretted wearing sandals on my visit. A good sturdy pair of hiking shoes would be perfect

I recommend asking your guide for the best photo spots. They know the area well, and I wish I had gotten some insider tips sooner. You won’t want to miss those epic dune pics!

My advice is to bring plenty of water and some snacks. It can get super hot out there, and wandering around the dunes can make you thirsty faster than you'd think. I ran out of water too soon!

I suggest getting there by sunrise, around 6 AM, to catch that gorgeous light for photos. The morning colors are just breathtaking and you’ll avoid the midday heat too!
