Bimmah Sinkhole
Qurum Beach
There's plenty of space to find your own quiet spot but I found the best vibe near the middle section of the beach. It’s lively and great for people-watching without being too chaotic.
Watch out for the beach taxis! They can charge extra if you don’t negotiate the fare upfront. I learned the hard way, so my advice is to ask for a quote before hopping in.
Check the weather before you go; the heat can be intense! Early morning around 7 AM is perfect – cooler and less crowded. I felt way more relaxed without the midday sun blazing down.
Ras al Jinz Turtle Reserve
don't miss the museum on-site! it's easy to skip, but you'll learn so much about the turtles and their habitat, which really adds to the experience. i wished i had gone earlier.
I recommend wearing comfortable shoes. The walk to the beach can be sandy and uneven, plus you don't wanna feel tiresome while waiting for the turtles to come out!
Al Hoota Cave
I recommend visiting around 8 AM when it opens, the weather is cooler and the crowds are light. We got amazing photos without everyone else in the frame!
Check the restroom situation before you go down into the cave, they're located at the entrance. I found out too late and had to rush back up!
don't forget to bring your own water bottle! the cafe prices were a bit steep, i spend way more on drinks than i expected.
Qurum Natural Park
For a budget-friendly tip, pack a picnic instead of eating at nearby restaurants; you’ll save a lot and enjoy the park vibes!
I remember parking was a bit tricky during peak hours, so arriving early really made things easier for me.
I nthink the best time to visit is around 4 PM. That’s when the sun starts to cool down, and it’s perfect for a stroll!
