Jose Risal Park

If you’re into photography like me, don’t forget your camera! The sunset views here are stunning, especially around 5:30 PM. Just keep an eye on your stuff if it gets crowded.

I think you might want to check the event schedule before going. There’s often free entertainment, and I was lucky enough to catch a cultural show that was totally unexpected and really enjoyable!

I suggest bringing your own snacks and water. The food inside can be pricey, and there's plenty of nice spots to eat your own picnic under the trees. It saved me some cash!
Burnham Park

Bring a picnic. I didn’t, and I regretted it. There are beautiful spots where you can enjoy a meal, and it's way cheaper than buying food at the park vendors.

Keep an eye out for local vendors selling souvenirs. I found unique handmade items at reasonable prices compared to the shops, and haggling is part of the fun!

Plan to take a stroll around the flower gardens. I skipped them initially thinking they were just small patches, but they actually have some stunning blooms worth checking out.

Try renting a paddle boat in the lake; it's a fun way to spend time and get some great photos! It’s budget-friendly and a unique experience, unlike anything else in the park.
The Quezon Memorial Circle

Check out the different art installations around the Circle. I didn’t know there were so many and spent a lovely afternoon discovering hidden gems. Just take your time and explore!

I suggest bringing some snacks and water, especially if you’re planning to stroll around for a few hours. There are shops, but they can be a bit pricey.

If you're a photography lover, make sure to visit late afternoon around 4 PM when the sunlight hits beautifully. I got some amazing pics during that golden hour!

I recommend arriving early, around 7 AM, to avoid the heat and the crowds. It’s way more peaceful at that time, plus you can enjoy a lovely breakfast at a nearby cafe.
Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park

I recommend bringing a light jacket. The cave gets surprisingly cool once you’re inside, and you’ll thank yourself later for being comfortable while exploring.

I think it's worth it to hire a local guide instead of just the park rangers. They offered us so much interesting info and tips that made the whole experience way better than just a standard tour.
Handred Islands National Park

I think you should try to visit on a weekday, it's way less crowded and you can enjoy the islands in peace. Weekend crowds can be a bit too much, trust me on this.
