The Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology

Don’t miss the interactive exhibits; they’re really fun and informative. I actually found them more interesting than some of the traditional displays!

Plan to spend at least 3-4 hours here. The exhibits are super engaging and you don’t want to rush through them. Take your time!

My advice is to visit during weekdays if you can. The crowd is way lighter, making it easier to explore and appreciate the art.

If you're looking to save some cash, try to get your tickets online rather than at the door. It helps skip the lines and sometimes offers discounts.
Maritime Museum

I think the audio guide is worth it, especially if you want to dive deeper into the exhibits. I missed out on some cool stories without it

I suggest you arrive right when it opens at 10 AM. It’s way less crowded then, and you can snap great pics without many people in the way.

Don’t rush through the exhibits. I thought 1-2 hours was enough, but I ended up staying longer because there’s so much fascinating stuff!

Make sure to wear comfy shoes! There’s a lot of walking, and I regretted wearing my fancy sneakers that pinched my feet.
Museum of Kalust Gulbenkyan

I recommend visiting on a weekday, preferably in the morning, around 10 am. The crowds were way smaller then, and I got to enjoy the galleries without feeling rushed.

Don't miss the beautiful gardens outside. I think they are just as beautiful as the museum’s collection. Grab a coffee and take a stroll to relax a bit

My advice is to buy the combo ticket online. It saved me some cash compared to buying individual tickets, and I skipped the line!

I suggest checking out the temporary exhibitions first since they rotate often. I ended up loving one I wouldn’t have seen if I didn't go there first!
Azulejo Museum
The National Coach Museum

Don't forget to explore the giftshop! There are some unique souvenirs that aren't overpriced. I actually found a cool book on Portuguese history that was well worth the couple of euros.

I suggest visiting on a weekday, especially in the morning around 10 AM when it’s less crowded. I went on a Sunday and it felt rushed with all the groups. You'll appreciate the details way more when it's quiet.

My advice is to take advantage of the audio guide. It gives you a deeper understanding of the coaches and the royal history. I skipped it at first, but I regretted that later because it really added to the experience
National Carriage Museum

If you can swing it, definitely go for the audio guide... It really added to my experience and helped me understand the background of the carriages better... I think it was a few extra euros well spent!

Parking can be a pain nearby, so I'd recommend taking public transport. The tram ride there is actually pretty fun and picturesque!
Pavilion of Knowledge

I think wearing comfortable shoes is key. You’ll be walking around quite a bit, and trust me, you don’t want sore feet ruining your experience!

My advice is to check if there are any special events happening. I stumbled upon a cool demo that made my visit so much more fun!
National Museum of Ancient Art

I recommend going on a weekday if you can. I went on a Tuesday and it was much less crowded, making it easier to enjoy the art without the hustle.

I suggest getting the combined ticket if you're thinking of visiting other attractions nearby. It saved me some cash and made hopping around a breeze!
My advice is to grab a coffee at the café before you start. The views from there are amazing and it gives you a nice break after roaming through the galleries!
FC Porto Museum
I recommend buying the combo ticket for the museum and the stadium tour – it saves you a few euros and you'll get to see both highlights in one go. Trust me, it’s worth it!

Don't forget to grab a bite at the cafe before you start your tour. The food is super tasty and pretty affordable, plus it gives you a nice break!

If you can, visit on a weekday around 3 PM. It was way less crowded then, and I could really take my time enjoying everything without rushing.

I suggest taking your time at the interactive exhibits. I rushed through them, but they were actually pretty fun and informative – I wished I had spent more time there.
The Museum Serralves

Make sure to check out the café – I totally underestimated it. The prices are pretty reasonable and they have some great pastries to recharge before hitting the gardens!

I recommend getting the audio guide. It adds so much to the experience! But be careful, it can be a little tricky to return it; just remember to do it before exiting!

I suggest visiting on a Tuesday or Thursday; it’s usually less crowded and you can enjoy the art in peace. Plus, you might catch some special exhibitions that aren't on weekends!
