If you're gonna kayak, I'd suggest renting from the local place instead of bringing your own. The rentals are super affordable and save you the hassle of transporting your gear.

Pack a picnic! There's no food options right inside the reserve. We saved some cash by bringing our own lunch and enjoying it surrounded by nature.
