Playa El Cuco
Playa Los Cobanos
If you’re into snorkeling, bring your own gear or rent it from a local shop instead of booking a tour. I found a spot near the rocks with amazing views of fish without spending much!
I suggest visiting during the week instead of weekends if you want a quieter experience. The beach gets packed with locals and tourists alike on Saturdays and Sundays.
Playa El Espino
Bring your own snacks and water, as the beachfront vendors can be overpriced. I ended up spending way more on drinks than I planned because I didn't prepare ahead
I recommend checking the surf conditions in advance, especially if you're a beginner. I went when the waves were rough and it was tough for me, but fun to watch the pros!
Playa Costa del Sol
I suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks if you want to save some bucks. Beach vendors can be pricey and I regretted not packing some food for the day
Playa El Tunco
Playa Costa Azul
I recommend packing some water shoes. The rocks can be a bit rough in some spots, and it really made my day more comfortable. Just wish I had done that sooner!
Playa San Diego
Playa Mizata
Pack some snacks and drinks because options around Playa Mizata can get pricey. I ended up spending more on lunch than I planned, so having your own stuff can save you some cash!
Playa El Majahual
I suggest checking out the beach mid-morning around 10 AM; that's when the sun isn't too fierce but you're still catching the good vibes. Trust me, I wish I’d done that instead of frying under the noon sun!
Playa Las Flores
My advice is to explore the local food scene—skip the tourist traps near the beach. Check out small eateries in town for authentic meals at better prices
Try to negotiate prices for surf lessons and rentals; I saved a bit doing this. Most instructors are friendly and willing to strike a deal!
