Cuscatlan Park
Make sure to check the schedule for any events happening at the park. I stumbled upon a cultural festival during my visit, and it was an awesome experience!
Bring some cash just in case. While there are ATMs nearby, not all vendors accept cards, and it's easier to purchase snacks or souvenirs with cash
Don't skip the local food vendors located just outside the park. They offer delicious snacks that are much more affordable than what you'll find in touristy spots!
Jardin Botanico La Laguna
Bicentenario Park
I think it’s worth checking out any events happening during your visit. I stumbled upon a local art fair, which made my day much more enjoyable and added some fun to the experience.
I recommend visiting the park in the morning around 8 AM to avoid the midday heat and crowds. The early hours are really peaceful, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery without the hustle.
My advice is to wear comfortable shoes. The park is bigger than it looks, and you’ll want to walk around and explore all the cool spots without aching feet!
National Park Cerro Verde
Try to arrive by 7 AM to catch the best views before the crowds show up and the cloud cover sets in. I missed out on some stunning shots because I got there too late.
For the best experience, definitely check out the mirador trail. I found some gorgeous viewpoints there! Just be prepared for some steep sections; I might have misjudged my fitness level a bit!
if you're planning to hike bring some snacks and water. i thought i could buy stuff at the entrance but it was pretty limited and i ended up hungry halfway through the trails.
Volcan San Salvador
Salto de Malacatiupan
Libertad Plaza
My advice is to grab some local snacks from nearby vendors. They’re tasty and much cheaper than eating at restaurants. I loved the pupusas - they're a must!
If you want to save time, try to avoid weekends when it can get super packed with locals. I went on a Monday and had way more space to wander around and take it all in.
Parque Infantil de Diversiones
one thing i think you should keep in mind is to bring some snacks or drinks. the food options inside aren’t always the best, and you can save some cash by packing your own stuff.
You know, arriving around 9 AM is a game-changer. The park isn’t too crowded then, and you can easily get to the attractions before the later rush of families and kids arrives.
