Boulders Beach
I suggest visiting the beach at sunset; the light is incredible. It’s the perfect way to end a beautiful day in Cape Town—it’s romantic too!
Watch out for the sneaky seagulls! I seriously lost half my sandwich to one of them. Keep your food close, or you’ll be sharing your lunch!
I recommend hitting Boulders Beach early, like around 8 AM. You'll beat the crowds and have the place almost to yourself for some amazing photos.
Muizenberg Beach
I suggest hitting the beach early, like around 8 AM, to snag the best spot and avoid crowds. The sunrise is also pretty stunning!
My advice is to bring your own snacks and drinks. The beach cafes can be a bit pricey, and there's a lovely picnic area you can use.
If you like swimming, keep an eye on the waves. I found the tide a bit rough at times. It's better to check local conditions before jumping in!
uShaka Marine World
Table Mountain National Park
Cape of Good Hope
Kruger National Park
Don't forget to pack snacks and plenty of water. The food options are limited and can be pricy in the park, so bringing your own stuff is a good way to save a few rand.
The Cango Caves
Check the weather before you go. It can get chilly in the caves, so bringing a light jacket was a good call for me!
Blyde River Canyon
I think it’s a good idea to bring a reusable water bottle. There are places to refill, and it's a great way to stay hydrated without spending a ton on bottled water
Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve
Augrabies Falls
My advice is to skip the visitor center if you're short on time; most of the info you need is available on signs around the park.
I think the shorter walking trails are just as stunning as the longer hikes. Don't feel pressured to do it all; sometimes, less is more!
Check the weather before you go. I went on a day when it was super windy, and it made the viewing experience a bit less enjoyable.
