Park Grange
Pearl du Lac park
You should definitely check out the public transport options to get there. It saved me a ton of time figuring out parking – which is hard to find and pricey!
I suggest bringing a picnic! The park has some lovely spots to chill and enjoy a meal and trust me it saves you a good bit of cash instead of eating out.
If you're a fan of photography, try to get there around 5 PM. The sunset views over the lake are to die for, but it gets super crowded earlier in the day!
Swiss National Park
Consider visiting on a weekday around 10 am. It was way less crowded then, so I really enjoyed the peace and quiet on the trails. Plus, you get better pics without so many people in the shot!
Don't forget your water bottle! You'll need to chug a lot while hiking and there are not many water refill spots. I ended up buying a pricey bottle at a visitor center which wasn't fun.
I suggest packing a picninc lunch instead of relying on the park cafes. The food inside can be pricey and I found very few options. Eating outside with the views is a total mood booster!
If you're into hiking, get the app for the trails before you go! I had a few hiccups with maps on my phone out there, but the app saved me a lot of time wandering aimlessly
Rosengarten Bern
Pointe de la Jonction
My advice is to bring a picnic. There's a great spot right by the water where you can relax and enjoy a meal. It'll save you money and the view is beautiful.
I think if you walk along the left bank of the river you’ll find some hidden paths and less touristy spots. It's a bit off the main trail but totally worth it for the views
