My advice is to wear good hiking shoes, the trail has some steep parts and can get muddy. Trust me, you don’t want to slip and miss those amazing views!

I recommend starting your hike early like around 7 AM to beat the crowds and enjoy the cooler weather. The views are gorgeous in the morning light!
Phanom Rung
Hang Nak Mountain Nature Trail
Wat Chaloem Phra Kiat Phrachomklao Rachanusorn
Phu Thap Boek Mountain

Pack some snacks and plenty of water. There are fewer shops along the trails than I expected, and I got a bit hungry.

Wear good hiking shoes. The trails can be rocky and slippery, and I almost took a tumble. I wish I'd brought my hiking boots instead of regular shoes

Bring cash for entrance and local vendors because not all places accept cards. I was caught off guard, and it limited my options.
Doi Ang Khang
Khao Sok National Park

I think you should visit the park mid-week if you can. Less crowds means a better chance to spot wildlife. I was blown away by how much quieter it felt on a Wednesday.

my advice is to hire a local guide for the treks. they know the best spots and can save you time wandering around. i found some hidden gems i wouldn't have otherwise!

I suggest packing some snacks and water because the food options inside the park can be a bit pricey and limited. I regret not bringing enough with me!

I recommend wearing good hiking shoes. I went with flip-flops and had a rough time on the trails – not fun! Proper shoes make a huge difference
Krabi’s Tiger Cave Temple
Phu Chi Fa

I recommend wearing good hiking shoes. I saw a few people struggling in flip-flops, and trust me, you don't want to risk a slip on those rocky paths.

Bring plenty of water and some snacks. The hike can be more challenging than it looks, and it's nice to refuel when you need a break. I wish I'd brought better snacks.

If you're on a budget, consider staying at local guesthouses instead of hotels. They’re cheaper and give you a better feel for the local culture, plus you might meet some cool fellow travelers!

I suggest starting your hike really early, around 4 AM. You'll beat the crowds and catch the stunning sunrise without the rush. The view is absolutely worth it!
Khao Yai National Park

Download a trail map on your phone beforehand. Cell service can be spotty, and I got lost on a few trails without one. Best to navigate with offline maps!

Start your day early, around 7 AM, to catch the cool morning weather and spot wildlife. Trust me, we saw elephants crossing the road!

Bring your own snacks and water. The park's food options are limited and pricey. A good picnic spot can save you money and keep you energized.
