Stonehenge

Grab some snacks at the visitor center before you head out to the stones. Trust me, it's a trek and having some munchies can make your visit a lot better!

If you’re tight on time, try to skip the audio guide. It’s good, but you'll end up spending more time than needed. Just reading the info panels works just fine.
Giant's Causeway
Malham Cove

Bring a packed lunch and some snacks. There’s not much around for food near Malham Cove, so I thought it was smart to save some cash and enjoy a picnic with a view.

I suggest going early, around 8 AM, to beat the crowds. I went later and it felt like a highway with everyone else there. Early birds get the best photos!
Fairy Pools Isle of Skye

If you're up for it, I suggest taking the longer trail that loops around—it feels less touristy and you'll discover hidden spots away from the main crowd.
Hadrian’s Wall

Take your time exploring the various forts along the wall. I missed a couple because I rushed; each has its own unique story and views.
Wear good hiking shoes—it's not all paved paths. I wore sneakers and regretted it halfway through the trek when my feet were sore!

Download a map of the wall on your phone before you go. I lost signal in some areas, so having a map saved me from wandering aimlessly.

Pack a refillable water bottle and some snacks. There are long stretches without facilities, and trust me, you don't want to be caught hungry or thirsty.
Scafell Pike

I recommend checking the weather the night before. I didn’t, and it started pouring halfway up. A good poncho can save your day when the skies unexpectedly open up.

If you're looking to save some cash, consider bringing your own packed lunch instead of buying food at the cafes nearby. Trust me, the views are way better than a soggy sandwich from a shop!
Hekvellyn
The Old Man of Storr

I recommend starting your hike early in the morning, around 7 AM. You'll avoid the crowds and catch some really beautiful sunrise views.
My advice is to bring a reusable water bottle. There are not many places to buy drinks on the trail, and you'll save some cash while staying hydrated

I think it’s worth packing a light snack. There are stunning picnic spots, and it’s nice to enjoy a bite while soaking in the scenery.
Helvellyn

I suggest starting your hike before 8 AM to beat the crowds and enjoy those stunning views in peace. It makes a big difference, trust me!

If you can, download a hiking map app before you go. I got a bit lost without one, and it saved me a lot of time figuring out the routes!
West Highland Way

When you hit the popular spots like Milngavie early in the day, it's less crowded for photos and the scenery is just stunning. I recommend starting around 8 AM.

Consider taking the bus back instead of hiking the whole way if you're short on time. The views from the bus can still be awesome and it saves your feet for next time!

Bring cash for the small villages; many shops and accommodations don't accept cards. I ran into a few places that were cash-only, and it threw me off!
