I suggest visiting Tarn Hows during the golden hour, around 7 PM, for stunning sunset views that make for amazing photos. The light is just magical.

Don’t forget to bring a portable charger for your phone. You’ll want to take loads of pics, but connection can be spotty sometimes, and that drained my battery way quicker than I expected.

I suggest looking for local accommodations instead of big-chain hotels. We found a cozy B&B that gave us a great local experience and saved a good chunk of money too.

My advice is to bring a packed lunch. The café is nice but the prices are a bit steep. Plus there are some lovely spots by the lake to enjoy your food!
