Caleta Portales Beach

Don't skip the nearby seafood shacks! Just be sure to ask for the daily specials; I got lucky with a fresh ceviche that was a real steal for what I paid.

Check the local vibe before you go. Some days it can be pretty windy, and that can ruin your beach day. I totally got sand everywhere on one of those windy trips!

I recommend hitting the beach by 9 AM to snag a good spot and enjoy a quieter vibe before the crowds roll in. Trust me, it's way nicer in the morning!

Bring some snacks and drinks, 'cause beach kiosks can be pricy. I splurged on a latte that was totally not worth it!
Caleta Abarca Beach

The beach can get really crowded on weekends, so if you can, visit on a weekday for a more laid-back vibe. Much more fun that way!
If you plan to swim, bring beach shoes. The sand can be kinda rocky in parts, and it made my toes a bit sore. Trust me on this one.

Don't miss the sunset! It paints the sky in awesome colors. I’d say around 7 PM is the perfect time to grab a spot and just chill out.
El Sol Beach

I recommend checking the tide schedule before you go. I noticed it was hard to find a good spot when the tide was really high, and I wish I'd planned better.

i suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks to save some cash. the beachside vendors are pricey, and i regretted not packing a picnic.

If you're planning to rent an umbrella try to haggle a bit! I got mine for half the price by just asking nicely.

My advice is to visit El Sol Beach in the late afternoon, around 4 PM. The crowds thin out, and the sunset views are absolutely stunning!
El Durazno Beach

Check the tide times! I didn't and I ended up with my perfect spot getting washed away. Knowing the tide schedule can help you plan for the best experience.

Don't forget sunscreen. The sun can be pretty intense, and I got burned despite thinking I was fine. Plus, consider bringing a hat and sunglasses for extra protection.
Las Torpederas Beach

Parking can be a hassle. My advice is to find a spot a bit further from the beach and walk. It saves time looking for a closer spot and it's nice to stretch your legs before you hit the sand.

I totally recommend bringing some snacks and drinks, because the beach can get quite busy and you might not find a place to grab food easily. Also, having your own stuff saves you some cash!
Don't bother with the public restrooms; they can be pretty rough. I suggest you just plan a stop at a nearby café beforehand before you get to the beach
Los Enamorados Beach

Don't miss the sunset! It’s truly breathtaking around 6-7 PM. Grab a drink and chill on the sand as the sky colors change, trust me, it’s worth it.

Don't forget sunscreen! The sun gets pretty fierce, and I definitely regretted not bringing my own after a few hours.

The beach can get crowded, especially on weekends. If you want a quieter spot, visit on a weekday. I had a much better experience on Tuesday compared to Saturday.

Parking can be a nightmare, so I suggest arriving via public transport or ride-sharing. It saved me a lot of frustration and money!
Acapulco Beach Vina del Ma

My advice is to take a walk along the coastline to see the street performers. They add a fun vibe to the beach, and you might discover some really talented artists!

Check out the local food stalls near the beach for some tasty and affordable seafood! I found a spot selling empanadas that were delicius and cost way less than the sit-down restaurants.

Watch out for the aggressive vendors selling stuff on the beach! You can politely say no, but they can be persistant. Just be firm and enjoy your time!

If you're planning to swim, make sure to bring water shoes. The beach can have sharp rocks and pebbles that hurt your feet. I regretted not bringing mine!
Rano Kau

My advice is to bring water and snacks – there's not much around. I ended up paying a bit too much for a drink at the visitor center!

I think wearing good walking shoes is a must; the trails can be uneven. I wore flip-flops, and it made things tricky, especially near the crater's edge!
I suggest getting to Rano Kau by around 8 AM to beat the crowds and catch the morning light for photos. It was like having the place to myself, plus the views are stunning at that time.
Loncura Beach

I suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks because the nearby shops can be a bit pricey. I got caught paying way too much for water!

If you can, try to visit on a weekday. The beach is way less crowded and you can enjoy the scenery more. I went on a Saturday, and it felt packed!

Don’t forget your cash! Some of the local food stands don’t accept cards. I nearly missed out on a delicious empanada because I didn’t bring enough money.
Docas Beach

I recommend arriving at Docas Beach around 10 AM... The sun is just right, and you can snag a good spot on the sand before it gets crowded... Don't forget your sunscreen, though, I forgot mine and got a burn

I think you should check the tide times. When I went, high tide pushed the beach back a lot, making it harder to find space to relax. It was way more enjoyable during low tide for sure!

If you're looking for something fun, try renting a paddle board! They offer a decent rate, and it’s a great way to explore the coastline. I thought it would be expensive, but it was totally worth it!

My advice is to bring some snacks and drinks. The beach vendors are cool but a bit pricey, so packing a picnic saved me some cash. Plus, it’s nice just chilling with your own stuff!
