Don’t miss the sunset at the beach! Grab a drink from a local vendor and just sit back. It’s one of the best moments of the day and absolutely free!

I think the best time to visit is during the dry season, from December to April. The weather is much more reliable, and I had sooo much fun not worrying about rain ruining my beach days

Check out the local beach shacks for food! I tried a place called 'Luv Burger' and their burgers are divine. It’s way cheaper than fancy restaurants and supports locals!

I recommend renting a surfboard instead of buying lessons. You can find great rental shops by the beach and figure out the basics on your own. I wish I did that instead of wasting cash on a two-hour lesson.

Be careful when renting surfboards - I suggest checking multiple shops for prices. Some places really jack up the rates, but you can find better deals if you look around.

I think grabbing lunch at a local sodas instead of beach restaurants can save you some money. There are delish options like casado for a fraction of the price!

My advice is to pack a lunch or snacks. The food prices in the park can be a bit steep, and there are nice picnic areas to relax in

I recommend bringing a good camera or a smartphone with a zoom feature. You'll want to capture those amazing animal moments from afar without disturbing them.

user avatar
Brian February 19, 2025

I suggest arriving right when the park opens at 9 AM. You'll beat the crowds and have a more intimate experience with the animals before it gets busy.

user avatar
Elijah October 17, 2024

i think the best time for a safari tour is around 3 pm. the animals are more active then, and the lighting for photos is pretty great too.

My advice is to book your tickets online in advance. I saved some cash this way and avoided the ticket line, which could take a while during peak hours.

Make sure to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes, even if it's hot. I wore shorts and regretted it because the saddle rubbed on my legs. Trust me, you'll enjoy the ride much more!

user avatar
Richard March 8, 2025

If you can, try to book an afternoon ride around 4 PM. The sunset views over the beach are absolutely stunning and totally worth it. Plus, it’s cooler too!

I highly recommend bringing some cash for tips. The guides do an amazing job and they really appreciate it. I didn’t have cash on me and felt bad not tipping them properly

user avatar
Robert October 16, 2024

I suggest checking the weather before you go; it can get really hot. I went on a sunny day and the sun was brutal. Bring lots of water and maybe a hat to shield your face.

I recommend renting a surfboard from a local shop instead of the beach rental. It saved me a ton of cash and the boards were way better quality!

user avatar
William February 22, 2025

If you're a beginner, I suggest taking a lesson in the morning around 8 AM when the waves are softer. I made the mistake of going in the afternoon and it was a bit too wild for me!

user avatar
Eric October 20, 2024

My advice is to pack snacks and water for your beach day. The food options are few and can be pricey. I ended up paying way too much for a sandwich that wasn’t even that good!

user avatar
Brandon October 16, 2024

I think you should explore the nearby beaches like Playa Pelada. It’s way less crowded and has stunning views; just remember to bring cash since not many places take cards.

I highly recommend booking the tour in advance, especially during peak season. We saved money by snagging a discount. Plus, it ensured we got a spot on the catamaran before they sold out

user avatar
Benjamin December 13, 2024

My advice is to bring a lightweight jacket and sunscreen. It can get a bit chilly on the water after sunset and you definitely don't want to get burned!

I suggest getting there around 8 AM to beat the crowds and enjoy the peaceful nature. The wildlife is super active early on, and it made my experience so much better!

Don't forget to bring a good pair of binoculars! I missed out on some amazing birdwatching opportunities because I didn't prepare. You'll save a ton of time trying to spot them up close.
