Galapagos Islands
My advice is to hit the beaches early in the morning around 6 AM. The crowds are smaller, and you’ll have a better chance to catch some epic waves before the sun gets too hot.
I think it's worth checking out Playa Mann as it has decent waves for all skill levels. But be mindful of overcrowding; I found that the best time to surf is right before lunchtime when things start to slow down.
If you're planning to watch the sunset, don’t miss out on the views from the Malecon. Grab some street food from the local vendors nearby, and you’ll get an amazing end to your day without breaking the bank.
Galapagos National Park
Tortuga Bay
I suggest you check the tide schedules if you're planning to swim. The waves can get intense and it's way better to hit the water when it's chill.
Pack some snacks and water before you head to the beach. I didn't, and ended up buying overpriced drinks at a kiosk. Trust me, it adds up.
Bring a good camera! The wildlife is unreal. I wish I had taken more pictures of the marine iguanas and the beautiful scenery on the way to the beach
I've gotta say, get there before 9am! The sunrise along the beach is stunning and you'll beat the crowds. Plus, the sea is calmer for swimming.
Bahia Tortuga
If you’re planning to rent a kayak, I recommend bargaining a bit; I got a way better deal by just asking around. Don’t settle on the first price you hear!
I suggest bringing cash for small purchases; some places don't take cards. I learned this the hard way when I wanted to grab a snack but my card was declined.
I think you should definitely try the local seafood; it’s fresh and super delicious! But watch out for restaurants that are too empty—they might not be the best quality.
