Lac Blanc

My advice is to wear good hiking shoes, especially if you plan to take the trails. I slipped on some muddy parts and it wasn't fun. Good shoes will make your experience much better

I recommend arriving around 8 AM if you want to beat the crowds. The sunrise over the lake is gorgeous and you'll get the best photos before the bus loads come in.
I suggest packing a good lunch and snacks to enjoy by the lake. There aren't many places to grab food nearby, and a picnic by the water is the best way to take a break. Don't forget the water!

I think it's worth checking out the trails that lead away from the main path. Less people, and you might find a hidden spot to chill or score some awesome views. Just be careful with your map!
Jura Mountains

Consider trying local bakeries for lunch instead of big restaurants. The sandwiches I got were fresh and way cheaper than my friend's fancy meal. Support small biz
If you're trekking, get the detailed trails map online beforehand. I wasted time trying to find a good one in the local store but ended up using my phone's GPS. Helps save battery and time!

Pack some snacks and water for hikes! I brought some trail mix and saved a ton on overpriced snacks at the view points. Plus, it kept the energy up while exploring!
Mont Buet

I think it's a good idea to wear sturdy shoes. I wore my old sneakers and regretted it halfway up when they started to slip. Good grip is key!

I suggest bringing your own snacks and water. There are few places to buy food up there, and I spent too much on a sandwich at a small café. Pack well and save some cash!

My advice is to check the weather a day before and don’t trust it 100%. I got caught in a sudden rain shower! But it was still pretty fun, just not ideal.
Robert Louis Stevenson Trail

I suggest checking out local inns instead of hotels. They not only save you money but also give you that cozy, authentic experience. I stayed at one and it was the highlight of my trip!

My advice is to pack lots of snacks and water. The trail is longer than it looks, and I ran out of energy halfway through. You'll want to stay fueled up to enjoy every moment!

I recommend starting your hike around 7 AM. That way, you can enjoy the cooler weather and the stunning views without the crowds. Trust me, it makes a huge difference.
Tour du Mont Blanc

I suggest checking the weather a week in advance. It can change fast in the mountains, and I regretted not being better prepared for a sudden rainstorm last time!

If you're staying in Chamonix, consider investing in a multi-day lift pass. It saved me loads on getting to some trailheads, plus the views from the lifts are incredible!

Pack your own snacks and lunch instead of relying on mountain huts... The prices can be sky-high at some stops, and you can enjoy your meal with a killer view for way less!
Alpage De Blaitiere

I suggest packing a picnic to enjoy at one of the scenic spots along the trail; the views are amazing, and you'll save some cash by not eating at a nearby restaurant.

I recommend starting your hike around 8 AM to avoid the crowds and enjoy the peaceful morning air. Trust me, the early start is totally worth it
