Port of Honfleur
Notre Dame Cathedral
Check out the stained glass windows; they're best viewed when the light is hitting them just right. I recommend going on a sunny day for the full effect.
Abbey of Mont Saint Michel
Wear comfy shoes. The cobblestone paths are pretty and all, but my feet were killing me by the end. I saw a few tourists struggling with that, too.
I recommend bringing some snacks and water. The food options inside are limited and pretty pricey! I spent way too much on a tiny sandwich.
Old Market Square
Try to visit right at 9 AM when the square is quiet. You can take stunning photos without too many people around. I regretted not getting there earlier.
The Gros Horloge
Explore the surrounding streets after your visit! I kinda overlooked the rest of the area but the architecture and little alleyways nearby are stunning and worth the extra time.
if you can, visit the gros horloge on a weekday, preferably in the morning around 9 am. it gets kinda crowded later on, especially on weekends, so you’ll have better pictures and a more relaxed vibe.
Sainte-Catherine Church
Don't miss the little art shops nearby! They offer great local paintings and crafts at really affordable prices. I stumbled upon a fantastic piece I didn't expect to find.
If you’re short on time, grab lunch at one of the smaller cafes right around the church. I found a cute spot with delicious pastries that didn't break the bank
Strand Etretat
Make sure to wear good walking shoes. The cliffs can get a bit steep and slippery, so you don’t want to risk a tumble while taking pics - trust me, I learned the hard way!
Church of Saint Joan of Arc
If you're into photography, go around 5 PM when the sunlight hits the stained glass beautifully. Trust me, your pics will look amazing!
Try to catch a choral event if you can. The acoustics are stunning, and it's a whole different vibe. I stumbled upon one by chance, so keep an eye on schedules!
Don't rush through it! I spent about 30 minutes, but I wish I had taken more time to really appreciate the details in the architecture. Take it slow!
Aitre Saint Maclou
I think you should check the weather beforehand. I went on a rainy day and the courtyard was slippery, making it hard to take good photos. Just be prepared with proper shoes.
Fortifications du Mont-Saint-Michel
My advice is to bring your own snacks and drinks! The cafes inside can be pricey, and you'll probably want to recharge while enjoying the scenic views. Just pack a little picnic to save some cash.
