If you can, try to visit around 8 am. The square is so calm and peaceful then with beautiful morning light – great for photos without the crowds!
My advice is to wear comfy shoes, especially if you plan to stroll around. The cobblestones are charming but can be tough on your feet after a while.

Take some time to explore the surrounding gardens and pathways; they're just as beautiful as the promenade itself! I found some hidden spots perfect for photos.

Bring snacks and drinks along – there are spots to relax and enjoy the view, which makes the experience way more enjoyable and saves you from overpriced food nearby.
Check out the vantage points along the D992 road for stunning photos without the crowds. I got some amazing shots there!
Cathedrale St. Pierre
When I went, I didn’t realize that entry is free, which is amazing. My advice is to take a moment to appreciate the stunning interior without feeling rushed.
Be sure to look up at the ceiling! I almost missed it while admiring the walls. The architecture is really breathtaking and deserves a good look. I think it’s one of the highlights of the cathedral.
Saint-Clement Aqueduct
My advice is to bring a snack or picnic. There are lovely spots nearby to chill and enjoy the view without spending loads on overpriced cafes.
