Padirac Cave
I recommend wearing comfortable shoes. The walk can be a bit uneven in parts, and you don’t want to be hobbling around on your visit.
Try to arrive around 9 AM when the doors open. The lines can get pretty long as the day goes on, and you’ll want to make the most of your visit without the crowd.
Clamouse Cave
i recommend visiting during weekdays, especially mid-morning around 10 am. it's way less crowded then, and you can really enjoy exploring the beauty of the cave without the rush.
If you're planning to take photos keep your camera handy during the tour. Some of the coolest views pop up unexpectedly and I missed a couple because I didn't have mine out
I suggest wearing good shoes! The cave can get slippery in some spots, and I almost slipped a few times. Comfort is key here!
Lacave Caves
My advice is to wear good walking shoes. The paths can be a bit slippery and uneven, so better safe than sorry.
I think visiting in the morning just as they open at 9:30 AM is best. It was less crowded, and I got some amazing photos without people in the way.
I suggest booking your tickets online in advance to avoid long queues, especially during the summer. It saved me so much time!
Cave Mas d'Azil
Make sure to pet the little goat at the entrance. It's a cute surprise and perfect for a quick photo op! I can't believe I almost missed it!
Consider bringing a light jacket. The cave can be pretty chilly even if it’s hot outside. I wasn’t prepared and kinda regretted it!
If you're on a budget, check for combo tickets with nearby attractions. I saved some cash that way, and it’s a smart way to see more of the area.
Pesch Merle Cave
Don't forget to check the cave’s schedule ahead of time. I missed one of the guided tours because I didn’t realize there’s a set timetable and not as many options as I thought.
Gouffre d'Esparros
I recommend checking for discount tickets at local tourism offices. I saved a few euros that way, and it was a nice surprise!
I suggest wearing comfy shoes and bringing a light jacket. It gets chilly in there, even in the summer! I learned that the hard way and ended up a bit cold on my visit.
Caves Byrrh
i suggest you book your ticket online in advance to skip the long queues. it’ll save you time for exploring the caves instead of waiting around.
My advice is to wear a light jacket. It can get a bit chilly in the caves, especially if you're not used to the cooler underground temperatures
Grotte de Lombrive
Cave of Niaux
Visite des Caves de Roquefort Societe
I suggest booking your tickets online ahead of time. I skipped the lines and saved a good amount by not having to pay at the door. Totally worth it.
