Garden of Plants

Check out the little greenhouses early in your visit. They’re super fascinating, and you might want to spend more time there than expected.

Wear comfy shoes because the gardens are bigger than they seem! You don’t want sore feet ruining your experience exploring all the paths.
Grande Plage de Chаtelaillon

If you can, visit in the morning around 9 AM. It’s much quieter, and you'll snag a good spot on the sand without the hassle of crowds. Plus, the sunrise is stunning!

Don’t forget to take a stroll along the promenade. It’s charming and gives you a flavor of local life. I found some cute shops and cafes that aren't in the main tourist guides.
Veillon Beach

My advice is to check the tide timetable before you go! The best walking and exploring along the shore happens during low tide, and I missed out because I wasn't aware of it!

You might want to wear sturdy sandals. The sand can get super hot in the midday sun and I regretted not having my flip-flops on when I was walking back to the car!
Damgan Beach

I recommend trying out some beach activities like paddleboarding. Rental shops are all over and the prices are reasonable. Way more fun than just lying around!

If you plan to stay late for sunset, bring a blanket and some snacks. The beach vibe at dusk is just magical and you can save money instead of hitting a cafe.

I suggest arriving around 10 AM to snag a good parking spot, it gets super crowded later in the day. Trust me, I learned that the hard way!
Great Tharon Beach

My advice is to check the tide times before you go. The beach is so much bigger at low tide, and it's much better for long walks and exploring rock pools!

I suggest bringing your beach gear and snacks from home. The restaurants nearby can be pricey, and having your own food makes it more relaxing!

I recommend heading there in the morning, around 9 AM, to find a nice spot before it fills up. Plus, the morning light is just gorgeous for photos!
Ocean Beach

I suggest grabbing some food at one of the local fish shacks before hitting the beach. The prices are way better than the trendy cafes and the seafood is super fresh!

My advice is to check the tide schedules. The beach looks totally different at low tide, and you can explore some cool rock formations without getting wet.
Beach of Baule

Don't forget to bring cash! Some beach vendors only take cash, and I'd hate for you to miss out on a delicious crepe like I did. Plus, it’s easy to lose track of spending with cards

Check the tide schedule if you want some peace. I went during high tide and couldn't find a quiet spot. Low tide offers more beach to chill on, especially in the late afternoon.
Garden Ile de Versailles

I suggest checking out the small art exhibits scattered around; they were a pleasant surprise! I nearly missed them because I was too focused on the gardens.

I recommend visiting in the morning, around 10 AM, to catch the gardens just as they open and avoid the crowd. The light is beautiful then too.
Don't forget to wear comfy shoes! The paths are lovely but can be a bit uneven. By the end of the day, my feet were sore, and I wished I wore sneakers instead.
Chef de Baie Beach

Bring your own snacks and drinks to save some cash. The beach cafes can be a bit pricey, especially for simple stuff like water and sandwiches.

check the tide schedule before heading out. i wasn’t aware of how quickly the tide came in and got caught off guard, making it tricky to enjoy the beach!

Don’t forget your beach umbrella if you plan to stay all day! The sun can get pretty intense, and there aren't a ton of shady spots around.
Grande Beach

Watch out for jellyfish in the water, especially in late summer. I learned that the hard way—better to have some vinegar on hand just in case!
