Fort St. Louis
My advice is to bring a picnic! There are lovely spots around the fort where you can relax and enjoy your meal after exploring which saves you a bit of cash on dining out
Marina Port Royal
I think you should rent a kayak or paddleboard for an hour right from the marina. It’s way more fun than just walking around, and you’ll get a unique view of the stunning architecture from the water!
Border Monument
Try to visit early in the morning around 9 AM. The crowds are way lighter then, and you'll get some great pictures without a bunch of people photobombing you
If you're thinking about eating nearby, skip the overpriced spots right next to the monument. I found a cute little cafe a 10-minute walk away that had amazing pastries and way better prices!
Wear comfy shoes! The paths around the monument can be a bit uneven and trust me you don't want to be dealing with sore feet while exploring all the details up close.
Marina Fort Louis
Don’t forget to explore the surrounding shops and cafes! I nearly missed them, but they add a lot of charm and you might stumble upon unique souvenirs.
Amuseum Naturalis at The Old House
I think checking out the museum's cafe for lunch is worth it, but be ready for slightly higher prices. Eating there was convenient, but I wish I’d brought a snack instead to save some cash.
I suggest arriving right when they open at 10 AM to avoid the crowds, especially on weekends. We strolled through the exhibitions without feeling rushed, and it made a huge difference!
My advice is to book your tickets online in advance. I got caught off guard by a long line when I visited; save that time for enjoying the exhibits instead!
