Villa Borghese
Check out the details of the Galleria Borghese book before you go. I spent too much time in line because I didn’t pre-book! Trust me, it's worth it to reserve tickets online.
Pack a picnic! The park is huge, and eating in a beautiful spot is way better than overpriced food stalls. Just make sure to bring a blanket!
I recommend visiting during weekdays if you can. Less people mean a more enjoyable experience, and you'll have plenty of space to explore.
If you want some good Instagram shots, head to the Pincian Hill around sunset. The views of Rome are breathtaking, and the light is just perfect for photos!
Villa Doria Pamphilj
Bring a picnic! You can save some money by grabbing some snacks at a local deli and enjoying them on the grass. It's such a lovely spot!
I highly recommend visiting early in the morning, around 8:00 AM, to enjoy the park with fewer crowds and still cool weather. It's a totally different vibe!
If you can, try to check the weather ahead of time. I went on a sunny day, and I ended up roasting! Some shady spots are nice, but bring a hat and sunscreen just in case
Giardino Degli Aranci
Watch out for those pesky pigeons! I got ambushed by a flock when I tried to eat my sandwich. It's a beautiful park but they can be a bit much!
Timing is everything! I went around 5 PM and it felt magical with the golden sunset. Plus, fewer tourists at that time, so more peace for pictures!
Don't skip the little paths! I stumbled across some hidden spots with cozy benches that offered amazing views. Just wander a little off the main paths, it's worth it.
