Milan Cathedral

Try to visit on a weekday if you can, as weekends can get super crowded. I went on a Tuesday morning and it was way more pleasant and I got some nice photos without a ton of people in the background.

Don’t forget to grab a gelato from one of the stalls nearby when you finish your visit! It’s the perfect treat after exploring the cathedral.

Consider buying your tickets online in advance to skip the long lines. I waited about 30 minutes to get in, but I saw others waiting much longer.

Look for the hidden details in the façade. Make sure to take your time exploring; I almost missed some amazing sculptures because I was in a hurry.
Castello Sforzesco

I think grabbing a bite from a local café before entering the castle is a good idea. The on-site options were a bit pricey and the food was just okay.
If you can, visit on a weekday instead of the weekend. The crowds can get pretty wild, which makes exploring the castle harder.

Take a stroll in the Sempione Park right next to the castle. It's a beautiful place to relax and it’s free – perfect for a break after exploring!
The Triennale di Milano

Pack a lightweight jacket or sweater, as some exhibition areas can get a bit chilly. Better to be comfy and focused on the art!

I recommend visiting on a Wednesday if you can—it's usually less crowded, and you get a better chance to enjoy the art without feeling rushed.

Before you buy tickets, look for combo packages that include access to other museums in the area. You'll save some cash!

I found it helpful to download the Triennale app for maps and info—it saved me time wandering around looking for exhibits!

If you’re on a budget, check online for family tickets or special discounts for students. I saved a few euros this way! The money you save can go towards the awesome gift shop.

Don’t skip the interactive exhibits! They were my favorite part. I think they really enhance the experience, plus they keep it fun, especially if you’re visiting with kids.

I recommend visiting on a weekday to avoid the crowds. I went on a Tuesday around 10 AM, and it was way less busy. You can really enjoy the exhibits without feeling rushed.

plan to spend at least 3-4 hours. there’s so much to see! i underestimated the time and had to rush through the coolest parts. don't make the same mistake!
Arco della Pace

If you can, visit during the golden hour (around sunset) for some stunning views and magical photos. Just remember to bring your camera!

I suggest visiting in the early morning around 8 AM when the light is perfect for photos and there are fewer people. It makes the experience much more peaceful!

Bring a picnic! I saw lots of locals enjoying lunch on the grass. It’s a lovely way to absorb the atmosphere and save some cash too.

I think it's worth checking out the area on a weekday. Weekends can get quite crowded, and you might miss some details in the architecture.
