My advice is to wear good hiking shoes; I saw a lot of people struggling in sneakers. Save yourself the blisters and go for something sturdy.

I recommend bringing snacks and plenty of water; the hike can be more strenuous than it looks, and no one wants to deal with hangry vibes at 1,000 meters!

Bring a packed lunch! There are some epic spots to stop and eat along the trail, and you'll save money instead of searching for food at the visitor center like I had to do some of the time
