El Boqueron National Park

My advice is to wear good shoes. The trails can get a bit slippery, especially if there's been rain. Trust me, I learned the hard way!

I recommend visiting in the late afternoon around 4 PM. The sunset views are absolutely stunning and you can avoid the midday heat!

If you don't mind a little adventure, rent a bike. The park is huge and biking through the trails let me see so much more than just walking!

I suggest bringing some snacks and water; there's not much around the park. I brought a sandwich and it was a lifesaver during the hike!
Tamanique Waterfalls

My advice is to wear good hiking shoes. The trail can be slippery and uneven, and I regretted wearing sandals! You'll enjoy exploring the area way more
Playa El Tunco

I suggest checking out the local eateries instead of the touristy ones. I found this little place called 'La Guitarra' that had the best pupusas and were way cheaper than the others I tried.

I recommend hitting the beach in the morning, around 7 AM, to catch the sunrise and avoid the afternoon heat. It was so peaceful and fewer people around, made for a perfect start!
Furesa
Playa San Diego

I recommend bringing your own snacks and drinks to save some money, because the beach vendors can be a bit pricey. I learned the hard way and ended up paying way too much for a snack!

My advice is to visit on a weekday preferably around 10 AM when it's less crowded. I went on a weekend and it was packed! Enjoyed it much more when I went back during the week.
Playa Mizata

Try to arrive around 8 AM to catch the stunning sunrise and enjoy the beach before the crowd comes in. It also helps beat the heat!

Pack some snacks and drinks because options around Playa Mizata can get pricey. I ended up spending more on lunch than I planned, so having your own stuff can save you some cash!
Playa El Majahual

I suggest checking out the beach mid-morning around 10 AM; that's when the sun isn't too fierce but you're still catching the good vibes. Trust me, I wish I’d done that instead of frying under the noon sun!
Playa Las Flores

if you're planning to surf, i recommend hitting the waves early, around 7 am. the crowd is thinner, and the waves are perfect for beginners. plus, you get to enjoy the stunning sunrise!

My advice is to explore the local food scene—skip the tourist traps near the beach. Check out small eateries in town for authentic meals at better prices

Try to negotiate prices for surf lessons and rentals; I saved a bit doing this. Most instructors are friendly and willing to strike a deal!
