Colorado Mountain School
My advice is to check the weather a few days before and be ready for sudden changes. I thought I could brave the trails without proper rain gear, and boy was that a mistake!
Apex Mountain School
If you want to save some money, check for any off-peak discounts or packages for lessons—some friends of mine found great deals when they were flexible with their schedules.
My advice is to pack some snacks and water before hitting the trails. I ended up trying to find a convenience store mid-adventure, and it wasted a lot of time.
SpinDrift SandBoard Rentals
i recommend booking your sandboard rental in advance, especially on weekends... i didn’t, and ended up waiting in line longer than i wanted!
I suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks. The prices at the nearby shops can be a bit steep, and trust me, you'll want to refuel after all that sandboarding.
Pikes Peak Alpine School
My advice is to bring snacks and plenty of water. You'll be so focused on the climbing, you might forget to eat, and trust me, you don't want to run out of energy halfway up!
San Juan Mountain Guides LLC
I suggest booking a half-day rental from their store instead of a full day. Trust me, you can get a lot done in just a few hours, plus it'll save you some cash. I wish I had known this before my trip!
